We’ve spent the weekend at my house decorating for XXXMas – putting up the tree, hanging wreaths, even making centerpieces out of Juniper and Holly! I know, I’m so crafty!  My holiday halls are totally decked.
The whole enterprise got me thinking about my own more personal halls, and what I’ve done for them lately. And the answer is … sadly … not a whole lot. Oh, my tree is trimmed, but I haven’t added any new decorations in quite a while. Granted, I’m more of a minimalist myself – just the one little tattoo and the two piercings – but I do so enjoy looking at a fully decorated body canvas. Body art/body adornment … it’s a lot like decorating the house for the holidays – only we’re decorating ourselves for our/our partners’ every day enjoyment. AVN announced last week that it’ll be broadcasting its annual Adult Entertainment Expo live online in “VirtualCast” format from the Hard Rock Hotel starting at 1 p.m. Jan. 20 and running through 1 a.m. Jan. 21.
The program will be hosted by Jim McBride (Mr. Skin) and Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake and will feature erotic stage shows, musical performances and porn star Q&A’s as well as ‘X-Rated’ Expo coverage and non-restricted access to the official AVN after-hour private parties.

‘Tis the season, and all that …. I picked up my xmas tree a couple days ago and plan to spend the weekend getting the tree and all the holiday decorations put up around the house. It’s a lot of work and kind of a pain in the butt – and I tell myself every year not to bother – but I just can’t seem to stop myself. It just all looks and smells so good when it’s done!

I was happy to see that a couple of new categories have been added to showcase the importance of the Internet to the industry including Best Studio Website & Best Solo Girl Website. I’d love to see them create a Best Amateur Website category for next year!
One thing that I noticed when looking over the list of nominees was the incredible glut of parody titles. I know porn has never really been all that creative an industry, but C’MON! Creating a porn based on Silence of the Lambs? Really????
These parody titles have all been nominated for an award of one sort of another. If this represents the creme de la creme, can you just imagine how many other parodies were made this year, and what they were based on? I’d probably rather not!

Last week I submitted my review of the Futurotic Flexi Dong to several toy review blogs, and this morning I found out it was published in the Pleasurists weekly review round-up. As part of the process, I agreed to reprint any Pleasurists edition in which one of my reviews appears. So when you see it (coming next), you’ll know why I’ve reposted. But it also includes a whole lot of links to other sex toy, adult video and miscellaneous adult items, so give it a read!
When my new toy from EdenFantasys arrived and I saw that it was a realistic-material dildo I was super excited. I have another one of these realistic dongs and I just love it – I very much prefer the softer external texture and the less rigid internal structure of realistic dongs over the completely unyeilding dildos of old. And I know that glass is supposed to be the schniznet, but I don’t really care for the absolute rigidity of those either. When it comes to dildos, my favorites are the ones that closest simulate real cock.
So I broke my toy out of its plastic container and took it for a whirl. And I LOVED it! Soft enough to accommodate my natural contours, hard enough to give me what I want (lol!). Plus it was just the right size for every day use – not too big, but not too small either. It was just right.
As is my toy reviewing custom, the first try was just for me – just for my enjoyment. In the first go-around I don’t think of descriptive words or get into the meat of what I do or don’t particularly like. The only thought on my mind is “does this toy do it for me?”. And the Futurotic Flexi Dong did it for me!
So when I was done – relaxed and happy – I packed the Flexi Dong away in my toy drawer with the plan to take it out in a few days and give it a more thorough examination prior to writing my review.
You know how things go – I got busy, got distracted, yadda, yadda, yadda – and it was a couple of weeks before I remembered I still owed EdensFantasys a review of their sex toy. After looking/reading/writing about porn all day, I was definitely in the mood and happily dove into the toy drawer looking for the Flexi Dong.
But I didn’t find a nice, new realistic-feeling dildo … I found a melted hunk of rubbery stuff that I wasn’t putting anywhere near my pussy! My new toy – laying in a drawer in a chest in my bedroom – had MELTED!!! What a craptastrophe! Its not like the thing was sitting in the car, under the windshield in 100 degree temps. It was in a drawer, in a chest, in my bedroom. And nothing else in this bedroom was melting. Thankfully, the dildo that it melted against maintained its chemical consistency and wasn’t harmed in any way.
I have no idea what this thing is made out of – the closest the package comes to a chemical description is “Hygienically Superior Futurotic Material” and “Designed for sensuality, versatility and realism, this soft textured dong is made of life-like Futurotic material for an incredible experience”.
All I’ve got to say is that if this is what the future of dong-dom looks like, we toy lovers are in trouble.
To say I was disappointed with this dong would be an understatement. Although I guess I’m happy it melted in my drawer and not in my puss.

You can find the coolest shit in the strangest places sometimes. I was in one of the marketing groups on LinkedIn this morning – reading articles, following links, and just looking for some general inspiration – when I came across a blog post lauding the brilliance of this French condom ad:
I LOVE it!! And I really don’t see how anyone could NOT think its brilliant. It hits its targeted demographic (young adults, particularly young adult males) perfectly – it sends a clear message (use condoms and you’ll get some pussy!) in a fun, clever and memorable way.
